Asset Management Services
Investing is a long-term process which involves
a systematic approach. Our philosophy is to create a portfolio that
matches your risk tolerance, revising the portfolio when it is appropriate,
and not attempting to catch last year’s great investment.
Furthermore, we help you establish your core positions and
re-balance them per your investment time horizon, minimizing
bad timing which is the most common problem for individual investors.
Our process involves:
- Asset Class Selection: We review market conditions,
to identify those that have become excessively risky. In a simple
example, the current yield curve gives us data for selecting asset
classes within Fixed Income/Bond categories.
- Client needs or changes: Have income needs
changed? Cash flow changes? Have there been changes affecting
the need for tax-exempt vs. taxable investments?
- Worldwide Market Review: Equity, Bond, Currencies,
and Commodities. Data compilations from many primary sources are
used for this review. We appraise asset class correlation data,
noting that the values change over time.
- Investment Selection: What changes should be
made to the portfolio? Has the asset class performance caused
a need to re-balance the portfolio? What will be the tax impact
for capital gains and losses? Have the selections satisfied our
fiduciary measurements?
- Post-Review issues: We provide ongoing asset
management so you can reap the benefit of our expertise.
